Having just started a new job locally, I needed somewhere to base myself for the first few weeks until my family move up to join me. I decided to stay at The Marine Hotel, and am very pleased with my decision - the room was clean & comfortable, and the en suite bathroom had a really good shower. The proprietor, Nancy, runs the hotel with the help of her daughter Jackie, and they are fabulous hosts. The hotel has a very busy bar, and most of the patrons are locals - the atmosphere is really good, and the bar staff are all friendly & welcoming. I have no hesitation in recommending this very nice hotel to anyone wanting a fun stay in Mallaig. Iain
