Meadowsweet Bungalow is a fully accessible self-catering property, with some specialist disabled equipment. It is located in a spectacularly beautiful location, Moine Mhor in Kilmartin Glen, and has wonderful views.
Meadowsweet bungalow is now open, from the middle of May 2021.
Meadowsweet has been recently refurbished, with new furniture. The house entered via a ramp, and is fully accessible in a wheelchair, with wide doors throughout (except the smaller shower room). The spacious living room has a wood-burning stove, double sofa and matching chair, and a double-motor riser/recliner chair. There is a TV with DVD / BluRay player, and BT TV through the fibre broadband, also WiFi. The adjacent dining room has a table seating 5 people, which can be extended to seat 6+ people.
There is a well-equipped kitchen, well supplied with all the essentials. We provide a welcome basket of biscuits, jam, and a bottle of wine. All linen and towels are provided, and heating is included in the price.
The property has two shower rooms. One is a wheel-in wet room, with a shower stool and grab rails. There is an accessible basin, and a raised toilet with two drop-down rails, also a tilting shower wheelchair with commode. The second shower room has a shower and toilet, but is not accessible for a wheelchair user. An Oxford 140 mobile hoist is provided in the property.
There are three bedrooms. The first bedroom has a super kingsize bed, which can convert to two singles. The second has an Electric Theraposture profiling bed and another single bed.The third bedroom is a small room with small single bed (2'6" wide and standard length).
There is a conservatory with wonderful views of Dunadd Fort. The conservatory can be accessed by wheelchair using the suitcase ramp provided.
