In a beautiful lochside situation, with gardens sweeping down to the water, Merrylee is a delightful, detached, whitewashed Victorian cottage on the shore of Loch Fyne near Inveraray. It has been carefully refurbished by its owners to offer superbly appointed and most comfortable accommodation. It stands at the end of the little hamlet of Minard (shop/PO) on the Inveraray-Lochgilphead road with off-road parking and secure storage.
Garden lovers will find the National Trust’s Crarae Gardens just up the road, while the Ardkinglas Woodland Gardens and the Benmore Botanic Gardens are within easy driving distance. The Brainport Heritage Trail starts from the shore, winds round the headland for over two miles and provides opportunities for wildlife spotting, picnics and fishing.
The cottage is well placed for touring in all directions, while there is plenty of scope for all kinds of sporting activities in the area.
