Middlehill Cottage stands at the foot of Glen Clova near Kirriemuir in Angus which runs right up almost to the edge of the Cairngorm National Park.
A traditional, stone-built, single storey cottage with lovely views across the glen, it stands quite alone in its own grass garden (furniture). Inside, it has been completely refurbished and modernised, while oil-fired central heating and a wood-burning stove ensure it is cosy all year round.
Walkers will revel in the scope which the area offers; the quiet road round the glen also provides an enjoyable route for cyclists. Golfers can play at Kirriemuir (5m, all facilities), go down to Carnoustie (25m) and play the hallowed links there, or cross into Fife, where St Andrews (38m) beckons.
There is a superb beach at Lunan Bay (28m), while Dundee (24m) offers serious shopping, leisure centres, and parks as well as Captain Scott's ship Discovery which is moored in the harbour.
