This is a wonderful base to explore the Cowal Peninsula and the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Ideally suited for a couple looking for a spacious well appointed traditional cottage.
Inside
The beautifully presented cottage is filled with warmth and character with quality furnishings throughout. Guests have full access to the entire holiday home spread out over two levels.
The open plan living room features comfortable sofas and an inviting woodburner fire (the fire is seasonal from September to March). For entertainment your modern comforts include a flat screen Smart TV and free Wi-Fi. From the living room there is an outside balcony terrace, a wonderful wee spot to enjoy a morning coffee or an afternoon aperitif while admiring the majestic mountain views, the Holy Loch and local marina.
The open kitchen is spacious, modern and well equipped, with a Range Master cooker and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, a small table top freezer and wine fridge. The open living space features a large breakfast bar for delicious homecooked meals.
One bedroom with Kingsize bed, the spacious Master bedroom is featured on the upper level furnished with all your homely touches and views out over the loch, an ensuite bathroom with a deep bath tub, hand held shower, hand basin and WC.
There is a settee day bed. The two sides drop and it can be used as a single bed only, and it is located downstairs. Suited to one child. Please request if settee day bed is required. Maximum capacity at the cottage is 3 guests (2 adults/1 child).
For infants a cot is available, please request. Please provide own bedding.
On the lower level there is a second bathroom with a walk-in shower, hand basin and WC. Also for guests looking for some peace and relaxation there is a small yoga room.
Outside
From the lower level of the cottage there is access to the patio terrace and garden, enjoy alfresco meals or relaxed afternoons soaking up the Scottish sun and the everchanging views. Your private garden area has uninterrupted panoramic views over the glorious Holy Loch, and the mountains beyond, the evening colours are magical.
Explore
The Holy Loch Marina and the local pubs are within walking distance. Just minutes from Dunoon, here is an ideal base to explore the West Coast of Scotland for walks, cycling, fishing, outdoor adventure and visiting the many surrounding attractions. Or you may simply take time out to enjoy the ambience of this welcoming holiday home.
Close by is the historic Kilmun Mausoleum, Benmore Botanic Gardens, Pucks Glen and Argyll Forest Park. The area is one big outdoor playground. Explore further afield to Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park and Argyll's Secret Coast, or take the ferry to the Isle of Bute to visit Mount Stuart, or visit historic Inveraray. It's also an easy day trip to Oban, one of the seafood capitals of Scotland.
Glasgow is just over an hour away via the Western Ferries or two hours by road via Loch Lomond.
