As the sea eagle flies, Mission House is situated around 10 miles south of Stornoway, although it will take you around 45 minutes to reach it by car as you drive round Loch Erisort & negotiate the single track roads.
The house can comfortably accommodate 4 people, and comprises a master bedroom for 2 and small bedroom with bunk beds for 2. There is also a fold-out camp bed which would suit a child.
The area is rich in wild life with regular sightings of sea otters, seals, sea eagles and golden eagles. Local guide books & information on the area can be found at the Ravenspoint visitor centre nearby in Kershader.
Mission House is well situated as a base for visiting sights like the mystical Callanish Stones on Lewis; and on Harris, Luskentyre beach & the Golden Road.
