Accommodation: 4 bedrooms, 3 doubles, 1 twin (sleeps 8)
This traditional farmhouse is located close to the geographic centre of the Isle of Arran, some 800 yards off the String Road, yet only 10 minutes from Brodick pier. Monyquil enjoys unrivalled peace and quiet without being isolated (there is a cottage a short distance behind the farm) and the perfect place to relax and enjoy a therapeutic family holiday.
Year round, one can watch for the soaring golden eagles that nest on Ard Bhein and Glen Craigag across the valley. In the autumn one can hear the roar of majestic red deer stags on the hills behind and at night, the stars stand out against the dark sky, since there are no street lights in the area.
Heating and hot water is by an oil-fired boiler, with central heating throughout. The farmhouse kitchen is modern and well equipped, including a dining area and adjoining utility room. The snug Sitting Room features an electric flame-effect stove for convenience and comfort - and digital TV.
From this central location one can drive north or south, east or west equally easily to explore the Island - a perfect base for walking, exploring or a cycling holiday.
