Fishing, cycling, walking, kayaking and bird watching can all be based from the house, with boating, horse riding and several golf courses within about 30 mins, as well as the excellent Seven Stanes mountain biking centres of Glentress and Innerliethen. The nearby Buccleugh Estate offers some of the best fishing and shooting in Scotland.
Wild and remote, but accessible, not far from the delights of Edinburgh, and with plenty of interest in the area and games in the house you will always find something to do here. Plenty of Historic Houses, Castles and ruined Abbeys in the area as well as adventure playgrounds, Go Ape, shopping in pretty Borders Towns and just chilling out.
