Whilst offering a relaxing and comfortable stay within this peaceful village, it is within easy reach of surrounding Borders towns and only a 1 hour drive from Edinburgh. The historic town of Jedburgh is only a short distance away and offers many attractions including the Abbey, Castle Jail and Mary Queen of Scots House to name a few. It also has a selection of pubs/restaurants/shops to enjoy. Activities such as golf, cycling or horse riding can be arranged locally with country/riverside walks in Nisbet itself. Fishing permits for the Monteviot Beat can be booked via the office. Harestanes Visitors Centre, Monteviot House and Gardens and Penielheugh Monument are all within a mile of Nisbet.
