North Lodge is a delightful Victorian cottage on the edge of the Ormidale estate in Glendaruel. It sits in its own garden just off the road from Strachur to Tighnabruaich.
The cottage was completely refurbished in 2016, and comprises a sitting room with dining area, fully fitted kitchen, and two bedrooms (one King, one Twin) plus bathroom with shower. There is a travel cot for one infant. There is also central heating and a wood burning stove, together with BT Broadband.
Outside there is a garden with outdoor furniture and a trout stream flowing along the boundary, in addition to parking for up to three cars.
North Lodge sits in the middle of ‘Argyll’s Secret Coast’, an area of incredible natural beauty bordered by the beautiful waters of Loch Fyne and the Kyles of Bute. It is right on the Cowal Way, a long-distance path from Portavadie in the South to Inveruglas in the North, which was first devised by the previous owner of North Lodge.
There are countless other places of interest within easy reach for a day trip and the local area has a host of superb pubs and restaurants.
