Situated just 4 miles from the mainland’s most northerly point of Dunnet Head is our recently refurbished hotel, Northern Sands Hotel. Blessed with an enchanted forest, nostalgic Dwarwick pier and a sweeping white sandy beach stretching for over 2 miles. The bay offers great opportunities to sunbathe, paddle, swim, surf and indulge in other beach sports. Dunnet offers an extensive range of outdoor pursuits for active families, such as surfing, wind surfing, horse riding, kite buggying and sand castle. We are on the brand new NC500, which the media have called Scotland’s own Route 66. Situated next door to the mainland’s most northerly Gin Distillery, Dunnet Bay Distillers which is a family business producing the award winning Rock Rose Gin & Holy Grass Vodka.
A variety of menus are available throughout the day, all year round, using an extensive list of local produce. Well-appointed rooms with extra-long plush beds for a peaceful night’s sleep, free wifi & parking are available.
