Thanks to the incredibly spacious open-plan living space, with panoramic views, this house is ideal for group gatherings of families or friends. At one end you have the smart kitchen, its island providing the ideal perch for whoever is keeping the chef company. Make yourself a cuppa or an aperitif before settling down. At the dining table, which is next to the island, you’ll find meals come with a ski-chalet flavour, thanks to a sloped ceiling and triple windows overhead.
Across the landing (a perfect kid’s play area) is the lounge and THAT window. Take your pick from the large sofas or velvet armchairs…and relax. The woodburning stove and underfloor heating ensure this area stays extra cosy, and there’s a TV here too, if you can tear your eyes away from the view. The living area and kitchen dining zone share a bathroom, which has doors on both ends – a thoughtful touch that reinforces the way this lodge blends beauty with practicality.
All four bedrooms are downstairs, along with a utility room. The bedrooms are grouped in pairs, giving groups privacy and the potential for undisturbed long lies. Two have ensuite shower rooms and the other two share the family bathroom, which has a bath. As with the first floor, light has been carefully considered. The bedrooms all have floor-length windows along with a second smaller window that opens. The ability to walk under the staircase provides little ones with an irresistible hide-and-seek spot.
