Other local places worth a visit are Culzean Castle, Heads of Ayr Farm Park, the Dark Sky Observatory, Footgolf at Roodlea, the Boswell Coachhouse Tree and Hobbit House as well as the heated open-air pool in Cumnock.
Dumfries House, which has been made famous by Chippendale furniture and links to Prince Charles, has beautiful gardens and an adventure playground to explore and is only 5 miles away.
Set in the heart of Rabbie Burns country, there are many local attractions including Burns Cottage, the Burns Memorial Museum and the Brig o’Doon, the bridge from the famous poem ’Tam o’Shanter’.
