Both cottages sit at the end of the crofting township of Park Bernisdale, 9 miles from Portree towards Dunvegan. They are in very scenic, peaceful, very private locations with neither cottage visible from the other. There is no passing traffic whatsoever and they are a great base for visiting North and Central Skye, be it for an active or completely relaxing holiday. Stays are from 3 nights or over and both cottages are only suitable for children of 8 and over.
Both cottages have there own WiFi hub. All electricity, bed linen, towels and many other extras are included in the price. There are no extra costs.
Park Cottage was built in the 1890s and was extensively renovated in 2017. It is a very comfortable 3 bedroom traditional crofthouse. It has now been given a 4 star rating by VisitScotland and is ideal for a couple only or up to a maximum of 4 people including children aged 8 and over. The main bedroom is downstairs with a king sized bed and ensuite shower room. The upstair bedrooms are comfortable but much smaller with coombed ceilings. It looks south over inner Loch Snizort and out to the hills beyond. It is available from any day of the week all year round, subject to a minimum 3 night stay.
Hill Cottage was built in 2012 by local tradesmen to a traditional Skye design. The hot water and underfloor heating are supplied by renewable energy from solar panels and an air source unit which provide a lovely even level of comfort throughout. The 2 bedroom cottage sits on top of a small hill looking out Loch Snizort towards the Outer Isles. Even when the weather is not so good, the light and colours are still fascinating. It has been given a 4 star rating by VisitScotland and can accommodate a maximum of 4 people including children aged 8 and over with a king size bed with ensuite and a twin bedroom with a separate shower room. It is available from any day of the week all year round, subject to a minimum 3 night stay.
