Parliament Square is a beautifully presented house set in the heart of the pretty Borders town of Peebles which straddles the wonderful River Tweed.
This listed building is over 500 years old and the heart of the house is the sitting/dining room with its comfy seating and fascinating artwork on the barrel arched ceiling. Upstairs are four well-appointed bedrooms and outside the private walled garden is quite a suntrap.
Peebles has lots of interesting shops, several eateries and an 18 hole golf course. Nearby Kailzie Gardens (3m) has a fishing loch, osprey viewing centre and lovely picnic spots. Mountain bikers will love the excellent mountain biking centre in Glentress forest. It is an easy hour’s drive up to Edinburgh with park and ride facilities on the outskirts of the city or, if you prefer, there is a regular bus service.
