Yet Persie is only an hour away from Edinburgh Airport and many of Scotland's famous tourist attractions.
Situated at the foot of the Highlands, near Glenshee, its winding salmon rivers and backdrop of majestic mountains have something to offer everyone.
The house itself is a lovely Edwardian turreted former shooting lodge set within its own policies. The house provides accommodation for up to 24 people with a dormitory bedroom (ideal for children) on the top floor.
The drawing room, with its open fire and large bay window overlooking the garden, has a comfortable elegance, whilst the study provides a cosy retreat in which to spend some quiet time sitting in front of a roaring log fire. The dining room, which can comfortably seat 20, is a fabulous setting for candlelit dining whether it be a formal dinner or a more relaxed family meal. Guests can then retire to the drawing room or even to the games room for table tennis or dancing.
There is a fully equipped kitchen with an Aga, pantry, electric double oven and gas hob, dishwasher, laundry room, cold room and two cloakrooms. Persie House is available on a self-catering basis, however full shopping and first class catering services can be arranged. The local village shop/Post Office can supply and deliver newspapers, milk, eggs, and rolls on a daily basis.
A popular retreat for large groups and family occasions, Persie is a very special place enjoyed by all the family, with extensive grounds to explore, wonderful mature gardens and an enclosed garden to the front. There are a multitude of activities available which cannot fail to fully occupy Persie's guests.
Persie house is also licensed for wedding ceremonies if you are looking for a unique venue for your special day.
