Pier House offers contemporary Bed and Breakfast accommodation with an unrivalled aspect overlooking Loch Leven and the Pap of Glencoe. For approximately 265 years Pier House has stood between the mountains and the sea, on the shoreline of Loch Leven and within five minutes walk of the centre of Glencoe village.
With its rich heritage Glencoe can truly be considered to be the crucible of British mountaineering. The glen and the adventures that it offers are within a 10 minute journey by car.
Renovated for 2017, we have still kept the charm and character of this lovely old building.
Our Garden Room offers a UK double bed (4 foot 6 inch). Comfort is provided by a Hypnos pocket sprung mattress with the luxurious feel of Egyptian 400 thread count cotton sheets, a goose down duvet, luxury wool throw and tweed cushions. Oak furniture complements the look. A LG 32” smart TV is connected via ethernet and the building has free guest Wi-Fi throughout. The en-suite shower room offers a walk-in thermostatic rain shower with a separate handset and also a luxury vanity unit and toilet. Guests may also use the seating area overlooking extensive views of Loch Leven and the surrounding mountains. Relax here following a day of exploration; enjoy wildlife on the loch and maybe watch one of our many spectacular sunsets.
Situated between the Scottish West coast towns of Oban and Fort William, Winter sports enthusiasts can access the Glencoe and Nevis Range ski resorts within a short drive. For paddlers, Pier House is perfectly situated, with direct access to Loch Leven – and a wealth of experience and advice in your hosts.
Those wanting peace and relaxation need do nothing more than simply step outside: breath in the fresh mountain air, absorb and marvel at the view, watch oystercatchers, sandpiper, curlew and the occasional otter feeding on our shore.
