Pier House has been designed to provide comfortable modern accommodation for six guests all in en suite rooms. It is warm and cosy with oil-fired under-floor heating throughout and a multi-fuel stove in the main sitting room. A land line telephone and wireless broadband Internet connection are provided for your convenience.The property is on the waterfront and boats can be launched from the nearby jetty. The enclosed gardens have wonderful views of Ben Shieldaig and Loch Shieldaig. It is conveniently situated at the southern end of the pretty village of Shieldaig which has many useful facilities. There is a village shop, an hotel with restaurant and an attached bar which also serves meals. At the end of the Corran is Nanny's which is a cafe/gift shop also selling local seafood and there is a smoke house at the far end of the village. Inverness is only 90 minutes away with excellent road, rail and air connections to the rest of the UK and beyond.
Surrounded by the Torridon Mountains and Loch Shieldaig this beautiful remote area is the perfect location for those visitors who enjoy outdoor activities on sea or land. The spectacular scenery offers unique photographic opportunities at any time of year. Pier House provides a very comfortable home from home where you can relax and enjoy this very special place.
The spacious living accommodation consists of a large kitchen/dining room - fully equipped with electric hob and oven, microwave oven, dishwasher and a large fridge/freezer Off the rear lobby is a useful utility room with washing machine, tumble drier and pulley drier - there is a rotary clothes line in the rear garden.
The main sitting room is on the first floor to take full advantage of the beautiful views across Loch Shieldaig. It has a multi-fuel stove and is equipped with a smart satellite TV and DVD player. There is an additional downstairs sitting room which has french doors to the garden and has a satellite TV, video and DVD player..
There are plenty of maps, books, games, puzzles and DVDs available together with extensive tourist information and walking guides..
There are three bedrooms, all of which have lovely views of the loch or Ben Shieldaig. There is ample storage in the bedrooms and all bed linen and towels are provided. The duvets are 9 tog but 4.5 tog summer duvets are also available and both can be fitted together to give a 13.5 tog cover if needed. There are hairdryers in each bedroom and a choice of pillows.
The Master bedroom has a king size bed, en suite shower room and a smart satellite TV.
The large family bedroom also has a king size bed together with an additional full-size single bed, and en suite shower room and an internet clock radio,
The downstairs bedroom has a king size bed and an en suite wet room. It is well suited to anyone with mobility problems. .
The family bathroom is on the ground floor.
A high chair and travel cot are available on request.
Pier House is equipped to a very high standard throughout and all fuel is supplied.
There is a telephone in the Hall, upstairs sitting room and Master bedroom and UK landline calls are free.
Pier House has a wi-fi network for internet access - bring your own laptop.
The enclosed garden with picnic bench and other seating has lovely views. There is disabled access to the house and off road parking.
