Lovely 4* cottage near centre of Ballater, Royal Deeside. Ideal for couples but sleeps 2+1. Decked patio with table and chairs, sunny aspect. Very close to the centre of the lovely village of Ballater with all its amenities including the recently opened Rothesay Rooms restaurant and Highgrove shop. Sorry, we don't have online booking as yet, please phone, text or email. Availability certain weeks from 11 June throughout the season, generally Saturday to Saturday. Please note both Pine Tree & Sycamore Cottages are booked for the Orienteering event in July 2017.
Secluded and exclusive one-bedroomed cottage close to centre of lovely village of Ballater. It comprises lounge with cloakroom adjoining, kitchen, family sized bedroom with king-size bed and single bed and an en-suite bathroom. Leading from patio doors in the lounge there is a decked patio with sunny aspect overlooking the garden and facing the beautiful Craigendarroch hill. The cottage is ideal for couples but sleeps 2+1 and there is either a fold-down bed suitable for a child or a bed-settee for an adult both of which are available for a small supplement.
The accommodation has the benefit of being close to the centre of the village yet being in a secluded spot. Almost all amenties are within walking distance. The Newsagents' is only about a minute's walk away as is the Tourist office and the Old Royal Railway Station. Many of the shops in the village have Royal Warrants.
The area is known for its Royal connections, Balmoral Castle and the Royal Lochnagar Distillery, also walking, cycling, golfing, fishing and castle and whisky trails. Cycle hire nearby. There is a lovely Golf course in Ballater as well as many in the area. Take in the beautiful scenery of the Cairngorms National Park - the nature reserves at Muir of Dinnet & Loch Muick & the Mar Lodge estate recently featured on Winterwatch. For the more adventurous - go skiing at Glenshee & the Lecht!
Wi-fi has recently been installed in the cottage.
