The ideal haven for a romantic break or the perfect base for a more active family holiday. The cottage has an abundance of character with touches of luxury. From your doorstep you can ramble in ancient woodland, wander down to the magnificent river Tay and loose yourself in the foothills of Highland Perthshire. Traditionally built with a lovely seating area outside, Pinegrove Cottage has been recently refurbished and the clever use of pretty fabrics and stylish furniture has created wonderful holiday accommodation that has a real country cottage feel, being fresh and bright whilst retaining character and charm.
Upstairs two delightful bedrooms, one of which is en suite, are inviting and restful. The downstairs sitting room with its wonderful stove set into an exposed stone fire surround provides a comfortable room, great for relaxing in after a day of exploring. The country kitchen is well equipped and stylish with an intimate dining area ideal for a leisurely evening. Together with a modern luxury bathroom this property is an ideal base from which to discover the beautiful county of Perthshire and beyond.
On arrival at Pinegrove you'll be greeted with a complimentary selection of local fare including a bottle of award winning wine (plus a little taster of our finest cask strength whiskey!). We will provide a welcome pack with details of the best local walks, restaurants and other local highlights including some hidden gems.
If you want to unwind, relax in the sunny seating area in our historic courtyard and savour your morning coffee. Immerse yourself in Macbeth country, take a gentle stroll by the magnificent River Tay or wander through Dunkeld with its ancient cathedral and a variety of antique shops, galleries, gift shops and cafes. There are regular live music events at the renowned Taybank Bar and the lively Birnam Institute. You may even catch a ceilidh!
For golf lovers Rosemount, Gleneagles, or the excellent local course at Dunkeld provide just a taste of over 40 courses on offer, each with their own distinctive challenges
Pitlochry, Aberfeldy, Kenmore and the outdoor leisure activities and extreme sports on offer at Loch Tay and Loch Earn are all within easy reach. Alternatively, you'll have one of the best trout and salmon rivers in Scotland on the doorstep. So perhaps a cast is the way to really unwind.
There are many opportunities for wildlife watching. Leaping salmon, eagles, roe and fallow dear, and a great variety of birds are all part of the landscape. You can observe otters, ospreys, red squirrels and pine martens from the hides at Loch of the Lowes.
