Pinewood Steading is a pet-friendly converted stone steading set in 3.5 acres of mixed birch wood and pine trees providing a peaceful haven in a secluded location. A perfect place to safely get away from it all, to relax and unwind, to have a physical and mental detox, to connect with wilderness and nature. We also have a Gold Award from Green Tourism - a sustainability certification programme. By being a member, this demonstrates our commitment as a business to Green Tourism.
We sit on the doorstep to some of the most spectacular scenery and mountain ranges of Scotland. Pinewood boasts its own stunning and captivating views. It looks out across the Beauly Firth and the Black Isle, Ben Wyvis, and the hills of Strathfarrar. On a clear day you can see the mountains of Torridon. We are on the doorstep of many attractions and activities, and still within easy reach of Inverness and Beauly.
Pinewood is an immaculately presented, luxurious and very well-equipped, single-story holiday accommodation with wheelchair access. The main living area is open-plan, with a warm welcoming lounge and log burner. The living room leads into the large kitchen with cathedral window. It's bright, modern and well equipped with wonderful views over the Beauly Firth. Pinewood has underfloor heating throughout which is lovely, especially in winter when you can jump out of bed onto a warm floor! There is also high-speed wifi with free access.
The main double bedroom is particularly large, also with a cathedral window, and a king size oak bed. It also has a cosy seating area with a library of books, where you can sit for a while for some quiet time. The second bedroom can be either a twin or a double. The bathroom is a very good size, newly installed for 2020, with both a shower and roll top bath and great views over to Ben Wyvis.
Outside, there is decking and a BBQ area along with some garden furniture, so you can really enjoy those views!
The Steading has been fully equipped so you don’t need to bring anything but yourselves and your clothes when you come to stay. No need to bring kitchen items like washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, washing machine tablets or cloths. Nor sandwich bags, cling film, baking paper or tin foil. Doggy items like bowls, poo bags, shampoo and throws. You don’t have to pack kitchen towel, or loo roll, or even spices, herbs, oils, vinegars, salt and pepper. We make your holiday packing easier by providing this for you. And as many of these items as possible are ‘green’ in accordance with our Green Policy here at Pinewood.
We are very dog friendly - we welcome them free of charge and there is no limit on number, depending on size. The Steading has its own private and enclosed garden. We provide many dog items including their own welcome jar of goodies!
Pinewood is only a 20 minute drive from Inverness, 35 minutes from the airport, 10 minutes from Beauly and close to Loch Ness. We sit on the doorstep to some of the most spectacular scenery and mountain ranges, yet have easy access to local amenities. We appeal to walkers and tourists alike, with hill, mountain and forest walks nearby, castles and distilleries, or visit Loch Ness for a cruise. Come and enjoy the peace and tranquillity or pursue outdoor activities, coming home after a good day out to relax in the charm of Pinewood Steading.
Your Hosts - Jane and Jimmy and our 2 dogs (Emma and Mina) live on site, next to Pinewood Steading, but both properties are detached. We can welcome you on your arrival if you prefer that, or we can leave the Steading unlocked for you to make your own way in. We are on hand if you need any help, questions about the Steading, or recommendations about the area. Similarly, if you want total peace and quiet with no disturbance, you will get that too!
