Point House, with its walled front garden, is the main house of a traditional Arran farmhouse and its outbuildings. The self catering holiday properties are situated in 7 acres of secluded lawns and woodlands at Kings Cross point, between the villages of Lamlash and Whiting Bay and 7 miles from the ferry terminal at Brodick.
Access is by private road and there are ample parking places and safe play areas for children.
A footpath leads from the holiday house down to the shore where there are 2 sheltered bays (1 shingle and 1 shingle & sand) with rock pools. A large grassy area by the shore is ideal for ball games and there are several delightful walks in the locality. The views from the house and the shore are spectacular, looking north to Lamlash and the Goat Fell mountain range and east to Holy Isle and its lighthouse.
Downstairs there is a comfortably furnished lounge with Flatscreen TV with Freeview; dining room with small sunroom; small double bedroom and bathroom with bath and shower over, WC & WHB. The fitted kitchen has been fully refurbished in Spring 2012 to include a new oil fired Rayburn stove, electric over & hob, large fridge/freezer, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher and microwave.
The upper storey has been completely rebuilt and re-roofed in recent years and is now a light and airy space. The master double bedroom has an en-suite shower room with WC and WHB. A second double bedroom (with king size ziplink bed) and a single bedroom are adjacent to a second shower room with WC and WHB.
