Polcraig Guest House
We are Steve and Amanda and have recently taken over running Polcraig Guest House. Originally from Nottingham, we have made the leap to live in an area we adore and we sincerely welcome you into our lovely home in Lochinver, Highland.
Lochinver is set amidst some of the finest scenery in the North West Highlands of Scotland. A paradise for anglers, climbers, canoeists, walkers, mountain bikers, sailors, bird watchers, cavers, divers, deerstalkers, and photographers, or for anyone else that loves the great outdoors, or likes living close to nature, Assynt is a splendid place to stay for a while, and savour all that it has to offer.
There is much to do and see in the Parish of Assynt, and Polcraig is the perfect accommodation in Lochinver Highland, from where you can easily explore on day trips, the whole of the Northern Highlands, as well as being the ideal stop off point when travelling to, or returning from, the Western Isles, via the Stornoway/Ullapool, vehicle/passenger, ferryboat service.
For the not so energetic Lochinver is a wonderful place to stay and relax, with numerous historical sites, sandy beaches, visitor centres, potteries, arts and crafts studios, coffee shops and fine eateries to visit. Take a tour by car, or a leisurely walk in the countryside, admiring the scenery, doing as you please, with no schedules to keep, or deadlines to adhere to.
On your visit to Assynt we look forward to warmly welcoming you, into our home and lovely accommodation in Lochinver Highland, where a very cordial and genuine greeting awaits you.
