Housed in a former distillery warehouse, spacious and friendly Port Charlotte Youth Hostel sits right beside a safe, sandy beach and boasts wonderful sea views. Endless white sandy beaches, towering cliffs, an RSPB Nature Reserve, the Museum of Island Life and eight world-famous whisky distilleries will keep you entertained and enthralled. Scattered throughout the pretty village with its whitewashed cottages are numerous restaurants, eateries and tea and coffee spots.
The hostel is in the centre of the village, on the shore of Loch Indaal. As well as family-friendly private rooms, multi-share rooms for groups are available. Facilities include a spacious, well-equipped self-catering kitchen overlooking the bay and a roomy lounge with TV and comfy furniture. There’s secure bike/kayak storage.
