This truly wonderful superior sporting lodge is set within its own private 14,000 acre estate, which neighbours the Balmoral estate, can be found within the Cairngorm national park enjoying views over the river Dee and Ballater beyond.
It is available to be booked on a self-catering basis, which includes the services of a housekeeper within the weekly rental price. For weekly lets this includes 6 hours per day, Monday to Friday, though this does not include kitchen work or waiting service. For weekend rentals, the housekeeper has access only for light duties on behalf of the house. It is recommended that a cook is hired as extra, and this can be done on your behalf, with separate rooms to the rear of the house made available for the cook to live-in if required.

This is achieved from the outset when driving up the tarred drive through woods and opening out to the fantastic sight of the house and immaculate grounds. On entering the large reception hall, which has an open fire, you will find comfortable sofas and chairs to relax before the start of the day's activities. There is an elegant drawing room with open fire, next to a small library/study. The dining room is a grand room with wood panelling throughout, an open fire and table that dines up to 20 adults, which allows you to entertain all your guests in style. Then there is a breakfast room, a TV room, the vast kitchen area, utility room, gun room and drying room. However the most impressive room in the house is the billiard room, which can double up as ball room, which is a magnificent space with a ceiling completely adorned with antlers. Even with a full size snooker table, there is space for all your guests here easily. Upstairs are all the bedrooms, which can be found on the first and second floors, and include a range of double, twin and single bedrooms. The grounds include a walled garden, and lawns, and there is a full-time gardener who works on the estate. With 14,000 acres of private estate, there are estate cottages for estate workers, as well as a couple of holiday cottages. Access to the rest of the estate is available throughout, subject to any restrictions due to sport being taken on the estate. For those wishing additional sport packages on the estate, this can be arranged in advance. This is a truly spectacular private house with lots of space inside and out, which is ideal for a family get-together, occasion or holiday of a lifetime.
WHAT TO DO IN THE AREARoyal Deeside is famous around the world as the traditional holiday destination for the British Royal family, with Balmoral Castle and the church at Crathie being popular with visitors who wish to "Royal watch". However, there is so much to explore in this area if you are a tourist, with Braemar and Ballater, being the focal points. A trip to Royal Lochnagar Distillery and the many castles such as Braemar Castle and Corgarff Castle. For those wishing to fish, there is the river Dee within sight and permits are available in advance. For golfers there are some charming local golf courses including Ballater and Aboyne. But this area is most well known for the magnificent mountains and those wishing to go walking and climbing, then the Cairngorm mountain range starts here.
