The Steadings are made up of four spacious, individual cottages. Located on the famous Trotternish Peninsula, this is one of the most beautiful spots on the Isle of Skye. The Steadings are situated at the end of a quiet Skye road with panoramic sea views out towards the west of the island and the Outer Hebrides.
This building was used as steadings by Monkstadt House. It was redeveloped using the original stone work and still features a raised circular horse walk which provided the power for the granary mill. At one time the mill provided all the grain for the whole population of the island.
