Road, rail, underground & bus routes are a few minutes walk as is supermarket shopping and a host of quality restaurants, bars & cafes - Roastit Bubbly Jocks, a short walk away on Dumbarton Road do excellent steaks while a little further on at Finnieston, Glasgow’s latest must-visit place, The Big Slope offers an interesting menu with a popular outdoor area for dining in the sun. Other notable west end establishments include Grassroots Cafe at Woodlands (yummy home-baking); Eusebi deli, cafe & restaurant at Park, The Ubiquitous Chip and Jinty McGinty’s for a magical Irish experience.
Both the west end and Glasgow city centre offer amazing boutique & high street shopping while the Stirlingshire & Ayrshire golf courses and the beauty of Loch Lomond are easily reached and of course in the summer months a trip ‘doon the watter’ on The Waverley, the world’s last seagoing paddle steamer is a must - don’t forget to wave as you pass by, it’s a long-standing tradition!
