The 14 bedroom Highland guest house built in 1903, offers a warm and friendly Highland welcome. All rooms are en-suite and prices include our fabulous breakfast and free WIFI. All our rooms have complimentary coffee, a selection of teas, Walkers Scottish shortbread and bottled local water.
We do allow pets at Ravenscraig when booking one of our ground floor cabin/chalet rooms (please advise us when booking).

Quality and comfort for our guests is our main priority and this has been reflected in our offering and reviews to date. We pride ourselves in providing excellent Scottish cuisine whilst using local sourced Scottish produce wherever we can. The breakfasts receive rave reviews and are freshly cooked to order. There is also a selection of cereals, granola, porridge made with Scottish Oats, fresh Scottish fruits along with yogurts and milk provided by Grahams Scottish dairy. Our jam and marmalade is provided by Mackays of Dundee and our coffee is sourced locally and roasted by the talented artisan business, Cairngorm Leaf and Bean located in Boat of Garten. If you are one who prefers a more hearty breakfast, you will be delighted to know our black pudding, bacon and sausage is delivered by our local butcher Grants from the small Speyside town of Grantown on Spey.
The comfortable guest lounge has a wide range of publications and reading material on the local area along with a large selection of local hiking maps as well as maps on other parts of the Highlands. There is also a selection of board games and playing cards available. Our lounge has an open fire and can be lit on request during the late autumn and winter evenings.

With 6 bike shops in the local area there is a wealth of knowledge on hand along with options to rent traditional mountain bikes and the ever popular E-Bikes. The Cairngorms National Park has a huge network of paths and trails and these are accessible from the doorstep of the guest house.
In the winter months RGH is an ideal location for basing yourself for all your winter activities from skiing, snowboarding, winter skills courses, ski-touring, split boarding, winter climbing, wildlife winter photography and walking and many other winter based activities - we work with a number of local providers and can provide information prior or on arrival on how to book these adventure activities along with information on renting suitable equipment.
You will find a selection of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants all within walking distance from one of Aviemore's outstanding guest houses. With over 6 outdoor retail stores in Aviemore, you will find everything from walking boots, skis, bikes, waterproof clothing to even canoes.
For eating out; lunch dinner or even an afternoon tea, the local area has an abundance of quality and in some cases award winning eateries. The majority are all within a short walk from the guest house and we can advise on check-in or even prior to arrival some of our favourite places to eat.
We are within easy reach of the city of Inverness, with its Airport just 45 mins from the guest house. Aberdeen airport is a 2 hour drive.
Aviemore has a mainline train station with direct trains to the central belt, (Edinburgh & Glasgow) The mainline also passes through the East Coast of England arriving in central London. There is also the newly designed Caledonian Sleeper Train available too from the capital direct to Aviemore.
With new transport links now completed access is quick and easy from the main A9 road network and rail networks. With these excellent transport links, this makes Ravenscraig an ideal destination for touring the beautiful scenic and spectacular scenery of the Highlands of Scotland. There are also many places of interest to visit, along with some of the finest whisky distilleries in Scotland. It is also well located to access Loch Ness, the Isle of Skye and many of the stunning and dramatic locations on the North Coast 500 route. If golf is your thing, we have hundreds of golf courses all within an hours drive of the Guest House. Spey Valley Championship golf course, Royal Dornoch, Castle Stuart, Nairn Golf Club to name a few.
Visitor attractions and historic castles, such as Cawdor Castle, Balmoral, Culloden Battle Field, Fort George, Loch Ness Visitor Centre are all within an hours drive.
