The detached cottage is built all on one level and can sleep up to 6 adults and 1 child (cot provided), making it ideal for families or groups of friends.
The semi-open plan, comfortable living area has huge windows so you can sit with your feet up and take in the open country views. Or you can snuggle up in front of the cosy wood-burner with a ‘wee dram’ of whisky and watch a DVD on the 32inch TV with Freeview and CD/DVD player (there’s also an iPod docking station).
The fully-fitted kitchen/diner has all ‘mod-cons’ you need during your stay; electric cooker, microwave, American-style fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Kitchen linen and essential cleaning products are also supplied.
There’s two bedrooms, a double with en-suite shower room and a twin-room, with the option for a further 2 guests on a comfortable sofa-bed in the living area. An additional bathroom means there’s no queuing when it’s time to wash or brush your teeth! Both bedrooms have built-in wardrobes and there's further sizeable storage cupboards in the hall, where you'll also find an iron and ironing board. All of the bed linen and towels are supplied and there's no need to pack a hairdryer as we have a travel size dryer in the cottage for our guests.
For those travelling with babies and small children, there is a full-size cot (cot bedding not supplied) and 'Mamas and Papas' high chair to help you travel a little lighter.
Outside you can relax – or play - in the enclosed gardens, complete with paved patio and garden furniture, and enjoy panoramic views over the Ayrshire countryside. As the Cottage is situated on a traditional 420 acre working farm, you’ll also be able to watch over our sheep and cattle in the surrounding fields from the elevated garden position. Plenty of parking is available immediately outside the cottage off the quiet country road and you certainly won’t need to worry about traffic noise or congestion during your stay (apart from the odd tractor!).
We love animals so well-behaved pets are always welcome at Rosebud Cottage. We do kindly ask they be kept on a lead at all times as the cottage sits within a working farm so we don't want to scare our lovely farm animals.
