Ross of Mull Bunkrooms are modern, cosy and comfortable and have two 4-bed bunkrooms and two bathrooms. The kitchen is well equipped and the dining /sitting room is spacious with a wood burning stove and a view of Loch Pottie (Loch Poit na h-I) and the standing stone.

Surrounding the Ross of Mull Bunkrooms is 6 acres of land which is excellent wildlife habitat. Just outside the Bunkrooms is a standing stone which is reputed to have been erected as one of a series of signposts to the Isle of Iona.
Ross of Mull Bunkrooms are less than 1 mile from the village of Fionnphort, the ideal location for exploring the Ross of Mull Peninsula with its dramatic cliffs, white shell-sand beaches, unspoiled natural environment, exciting wildlife and rich history. Fionnphort is also the ferry departure for Iona, making a visit to the island very accessible, as well as the point for day trips to the islands of Staffa and Lunga in the Treshnish Isles

There are three ways to cross by car from the Scottish mainland to the Isle of Mull by the ferries operated by Caledonian MacBrayne. The most popular is crossing is Oban to Craignure which takes 45 minutes, but you can also cross from Lochaline to Fishnish which takes 20 minutes and Kilchoan to Tobermory which is a 35 minute crossing. It is recommended to book your ferry as early as possible if you are travelling by car to the Isle of Mull as some ferries get booked out. If you are travelling on foot or with a bicyce it should not necessary to book.
The roads on the Ross of Mull are single track. For those driving on single track roads for the first time, there are rules to be aware of. When faced with an oncoming car, move to a left hand passing place or position yourself adjacent to a right hand passing place. Most importantly, always allow faster vehicles behind you to overtake, they may be trying to catch a ferry or need to get to an appointment. Don’t drive too fast as there are cyclists , walkers, livestock and wild animals on the road. Click on this link for more information> The drive from Craignure to Fionnphort will take around an hour – the scenery is stunning, so relax and take your time! If you are going to arrive at the Bunkrooms late, you might want to stop off for a meal or to get provisions as food shops shut at 6pm. Also be aware that the local restaurant in Fionnphort gets very busy in the summer season so later arrivals may not manage to get a table.
