Situated between Edinburgh Castle and Holyrood Palace, this location offers an excellent vantage point for exploring in and around the city. Excellent restaurants, shopping centres (including luxury shopping), art galleries, museums and theatres are all within walking distance. Speciality shops, convenience stores and friendly local pubs are on the doorstep.  It’s less than 10 minutes walk to Princess Street and access to all main bus routes for exploring further afield. Waverly train station is a 5 minute walk away.   

In contrast, getting away from it all is easy too as Holyrood Park (more affectionately known to locals as the ‘The King’s Park' from royal historical roots) is an easy 10 minute walk. The tip of Salisbury Crags, which is a focal point of the park can be viewed from the lounge window. Alternatively catch the bus on the doorstep to Ocean Terminal, where you will find the famous Royal Yacht Britannia that’s permanently berthed there and ranked #3 of 203 Edinburgh attractions.

Located on the 2^nd floor of a traditional Edinburgh ‘tenement’ building with charming 17^th century features, the apartment has modern facilities for added comfort. The front, which houses the kitchen with breakfast bar, bathroom and bedroom (with extra sound proofing windows for a peaceful nights sleep) looks onto the Royal Mile. While the quiet, sunny and airy lounge, with recess dining area and bay window, is situated at the rear.

Getting there couldn’t be easier as a bus from Edinburgh Airport passes by the door, or catch a tram from the Airport to Princes Street, then a short taxi ride or 10 minute walk.

A taxi ride or private hire car from the Airport direct to the door will take around 30 minutes.

The offical Airport bus 'AIRLINK' takes you into the City Centre with a journey time of aound 30 minutes. Get off at Waverly Bridge and you can walk to the apartment in 10 mins.

A tram from the Airport will take you to Princess Street.  

For a different experience, travel with the locals on bus #35 from Edinburgh Airport, which conveniently passes by the door. The journey time is around 1 hour 20 minites at peak times but is a great way to experience other parts of Edinburgh on route. Great if your arrival time in Edinburgh is too early for check in.
