Rubha Mor is a warm and spacious, self-contained flat for two, close to the vibrant community of Ullapool. Explore the wild Atlantic coast and mountains, and the "cnoc an lochan" landscape of the North West Highlands.
The apartment, beside our family home, has off-road parking with ramp access or steps to the front door, and level floors throughout (mobility access Level 2). Your privacy is assured, yet we are happy help or share our local knowledge at any time. No smoking/vaping at any time (including away from the flat) and sorry no pets - for our more sensitive visitors. Price is all inclusive of utilities, Wi-Fi, towels and linen.
Accommodation offers one bedroom - double or twin (and an extra Z-bed by prior arrangement). The kitchen and sitting room are open plan, with comfortable sofas, sea views, a wood burner and Freeview TV, (DVD) and radio/CD player and spare USB points. A well-equipped kitchen includes fridge-freezer, microwave, induction cooker – (take care if you have a pacemaker), slow cooker, and dishwasher, together with a washing machine and ironing facilities. Wet gear can dry in the warm boiler cupboard or out on the garden washing line. The bathroom has a bath, with a good over-the-bath shower and handrail; sink with shaver-light; and WC.
Outdoors - Your own patio has steps down to our communal wildlife garden (with two, unprotected ponds) and has open access down a rough track to the pebble beach, from where you can walk into Ullapool when the tide times are right. Information to find help or things to do is displayed in the hall. Ullapool has a Leisure Centre and swimming pool; museum, golf course, churches and art galleries, and occassionally the mobile "Screen Machine" cinema. During the season there is a market, vibrant arts and music scene and various guided tours and activities by sea and land to entice you behond! (www.Ullapool.com). There are a variety of shops, pubs, eating places (booking is strongly advisable), and take-aways, including the famous "Seafood Shack".

Our garden has a diverse range of habitats to encourage a rich variety of wildlife, which can often be enjoyed from the sofa!
Your hosts Paul and Kate moved to Ullapool in 1988 and were told "if you survive two winters you'll be here for ever"! Our son Will is the owner and guide of "Kayak Summer Isles" and our daughter Emma works in Primary Education, and has excellent French and some Spanish and Gaelic.
