The Kitchen is well equipped for a keen cook and the bedroom has a comfortably large double bed (with topper), which can also be arranged as twin single beds. A sofa-bed, z-bed and cot are also available. The bathroom has a bath with an over-bath power shower, and corner toilet for easy access. At Rubha Mor we support the aims of sustainable tourism by promoting the use of “Eco-friendly” and “Fair Trade” products, including a local “Social Enterprise” supporting vulnerable adults (hand-made soap/candles) as well as locally-sourced food, arts and crafts. We also support a “Green” approach to help minimise waste, promote recycling and maximise efficient use of resources. We also encourage a rich wildlife habitat in our garden with diverse planting and management to maintain its biodiversity.
Ullapool has a variety of cafes, shops, pubs, museum, golf course, leisure centre and swimming pool, and of course excellent fish ‘n chips.
Ullapool is rated in the UK’s Top Ten “Outdoor Destinations” with many activities catered for. Whether you are active outdoors or simply enjoy touring and sight seeing, you can tap into our local knowledge and explore the beaches, mountains, woods and lochs. There is a good range of information in Rubha Mor on activities and things to do and see, with maps provided.
In the summer, Ullapool's boat trips and Ranger guided tours offer opportunities to explore the area, its scenery, wildlife and Assynt's "North West Geopark". There is a Saturday Market, and a vibrant, local arts and music scene to inspire you.
There are regular festivals throughout the year (see www.ullapool.com for the Dance Festival (April), Book Festival (May), Loopallu Rock Festival (September), Guitar Festival (October) and New Year Ceilidh).
Alternatively you can simply stop, relax and take in the views from the sofa, watching the birds, the boats and the weather!
Lets run from Friday to Friday with short breaks available off-season (sorry - strictly no smoking or pets).
