Ruggles Cottage is a four bedroom conversion of the staff hall on the historic Dunira Estate. The setting is around 0.5 miles off the A85 between the attractive village of Comrie and St Fillans, on Loch Earn, just east of the Trossachs National Park. As a centre, it is hard to beat; dramatic tree covered hills in the immediate surroundings, Loch Earn, Killin, Glen Coe and Oban to the west, Stirling, Edinburgh and Glasgow to the south, Crieff, Perth, Dundee and St Andrews to the east and north through the Sma’ Glen to Aberfeldy and Pitlochry. Each journey travels through some of Scotland’s finest scenery. Numerous walks abound and the observant visitor may see buzzards, red kites and red deer all without getting into a car. You can often see red squirrels in the wood from the sitting room windows.
