Lying in a quiet, private estate at Rowardennan on the north east side of Loch Lomond, 6 miles from Balmaha. Loch Lomond is one of the world's most stunning and internationally renowned locations. The country's largest fresh water loch is now part of Scotland's first National Park and I hope you enjoy exploring its diverse history and culture whilst appreciating the peace and tranquillity offered to you.
Those looking for the thrills of water sports are in their element here. The site offers two slips and a jetty. Rowardennan lies on the quieter part of this enormous loch, which is zoned for all water users so everyone can enjoy space for their particular sport in harmony. This is indeed an idyllic location for children - safe grounds, a private, gently sloping sandy beach and flat grassy areas. There are lochside and hill walks from your doorstep including the West Highland Way and the road ends just past the grounds so traffic is minimal. Stirling and its magnificent castle are just 45 mins by car, the Trossachs and Rob Roy country only 30 miles and to explore so much of the Argyll and mountains of the north to Crianlarich is in easy reach for day visits.
The accommodation comprises: Living Room - 2 settees, easy chairs, dining table and chairs. Kitchen - full size electric oven, gas hob, all cutlery, crockery and utensils for 6 persons. There are two king size (one with ensuite shower and toilet) and one twin bedrooms and a second shower/toilet. Dogs are not accepted and stricktly no smoking inside the lodge. Please book extras in advance.
Entry to the estate is by a remote operated gate, ensuring that only lodge users and owners have access. All are privately owned and the majority are kept solely for their owners use.
This cosy lodge also has double glazing, gas flame fire and central heating throughout for Autumn and Winter breaks.
Directions
From the A811 take turning to Drymen. Go through Drymen and take turn off to Balmaha. Go through and past Balmaha for another 6 miles (this road feels as if it a bit longer first time as it a bit windy). You will see the lodges on the left just before the Rowardennan Hotel and entry is through barrier on left. Final access details will be sent by the owner prior to your journey.
