Come to the wonderful Isle of Barra and enjoy the comforts of ‘Scutaig’, a much loved and valued family home, your ‘home from home’ while on the island. With the emphasis being peace, quiet and relaxation, ‘Scutaig’ is there to provide it. A user friendly kitchen, a comfortable lounge and the dining room with the most breathtaking views is where you will lose track of time while enjoying your meal and chatting through the day's events. These same views can be captured from the bedrooms from the moment you open your eyes in the morning until you close them last thing.
The garden is fully fenced but you have a personal gate down to the shoreline rocks perfect to fish from or even launch a kayak.
Barra is one of the most attractive little islands in Britain and can boast a first prize in the 'Most Beautiful Island' competition. Its tranquility, distinctive culture and fascinating history will make any visit a memorable one. It is also an ideal starting point for visiting and exploring the Uists and Benbecula. The island is only 8 miles long and 4 miles wide, has beautiful white sand beaches and seven lochs which provide great fishing for brown and sea trout. Castlebay was once a 19th Century fishing port but today is a thriving town with shops, hotels and internet café, as well as a swimming pool and golf course. Scutaig is a delightful holiday cottage in Scotland's Highlands and Islands.
