Centrally situated on Grimsay, between Benbecula and North Uist, this tastefully restored, comfortable self-catering cottage is the perfect base to explore neighbouring islands. Standing in its own grounds with delightful views to loch, hill and sea, visit dazzling white sandy beaches, machair and moorland. Walk to nearby Kallin Harbour for a wildlife cruise around rugged shores, rich in wildlife and enjoy the delights of nearby Namara seafood cafe for a sit down meal or takeaway afterwards.

Centrally situated in Kallin, Grimsay, North Uist, this tastefully renovated, charming self-catering cottage is the perfect base for exploring neighbouring islands, dazzling white sandy beaches, machair and moorland.

Overlooking a pretty waterlily loch, named after its wild duck population (Loch nan Lach), Sealladh Eabhal was my home until I was twelve years of age. It was built by my father and grandfather circa 1955 from local stone and recently renovated keeping some of its original features and the four outer walls intact.

This comfortable accommodation comprises 2 double bedrooms [1 with ensuite toilet upstairs] and 1 twin room, cosy living room, modern kitchen/diner, bathroom [downstairs]. For instant heat, there are new digital electronic radiators throughout and for a cosy, warming fire, there's a multi-fuel stove.

The fully-equipped kitchen opens onto a secluded patio with garden furniture and wild moorland views. Guests may enjoy beautiful sunsets in this tranquil space. Grimsay has very little light pollution and the cottage is in an ideal location for dark sky enthusiasts. Fabulous views of the Milky Way and the Northern Lights or Aurora Borealis can be seen from the cottage on dark nights.

Sorry we regret no pets and no smoking in the accommodation.
