Shepherd's House, Cornescorn located in a remote location at the foot of Glenesk and surrounded by the glorious Angus countryside, has been recently refurbished to the highest standard. The sitting/dining room has been beautifully decorated, with wooden floors, sumptuous soft furnishings and together with a large flat screen TV mounted to the wall above the wood burning stove makes this the ideal room for relaxation or socialising, whilst French doors lead outside to the wonderful views of hills and farmland. The kitchen is well designed and equipped with stylish stainless steel, black and wood finishes, and is perfect for the most discerning cook. The master bedroom is bright and spacious, and benefits from an en-suite shower room which is modern and stylish. A further twin bedroom, again wonderfully comfortable, together with the separate family bathroom means this super cottage can provide flexible accommodation for a holiday party sleeping up to six guests with the use of the sofa bed in the sitting room. The self catering holiday cottage can also be used in conjunction with The Byre Cornescorn which can accommodate up to a further four guests.
Situated at the foot of the Angus Gles walkers will love the area, with walks ranging from gentle low level strolls to the more challenging Munros, ten in total including Dreish, Mayar and Mount Keen. Or head to the sea where beautiful sandy beaches and occasional outcrops of spectacular cliffs make the Angus coastline some of the most spectacular scenery along Scotland's eastern edge with the North Sea. For nature lovers there is the RSPB Nature reserve at Loch of Kinnordy where migrant species provide interest all year round from ospreys in the summer to Whooper swans in the winter, or visit the Montrose Basin where the Nature Reserve provides a perfect habitat for many species of bird. For golfers there are many top class courses in the area including the Championship course at Carnoustie and locally the wonderful Edzell course.
