Our small campsite offering Glamping accomodation and camping pitches enjoys open views of the farmland and gentle rolling countryside beyond, with grass pitches for small to medium tents. There is also an optional electric hook up available for each pitch, so you can enjoy relaxed camping. The site is surrounded by hornbeam hedges and native trees, to benefit both the wildlife and campers alike. You will be able to enjoy the many birds and mammals that live here, and marvel at the bats performing aerial acrobatics in the evenings! Plus as this is a Dark Skies designated area, you can stargaze at night – you may even see some shooting stars!
Your comfort is important, so there are toilet and mains electric shower cabins located on site, along with an area for washing-up. There is ample parking on site for cars or bikes located at the edge of the site, keeping everyone safe from vehicles. A local bus service operates from just 10mins walk down the road, connecting nearby towns, villages and the main railway station. We are also located close to many cycle and long distance walking routes, so cyclists and walkers are welcome to stay on site! As this is a working farm, unfortunately we cannot accept dogs.
During your stay you are welcome to join us on the farm to see the lambs in spring, say hello to the pigs and ponies and help collect eggs from our free-range chickens. We are lucky enough to be close to some amazing beaches and tourist attractions, and have some great country walks right here on the doorstep. There’s always something different to see and experience.
We believe at the shepherd's rest that your holiday with us is an opportunity to unwind, enjoy the beautiful surrounding and reconnect with them. So we don't supply Wi-Fi on site (although a 4G signal is available).
Being a small site with limited capacity, it is advisable book in advance to avoid disappointment.
hope to see you soon!
