Shoreside cottage as it names suggests is situated in a private setting on the shores of lochduich.
Views from the large lounge window can only be described as breathtaking with uninterupted views of the famous five sisters of kintail. (all munros) and the bealach road to glenelg where cattle were once driven from the isle of skye to the markets in the south.
Thomas telford bridges can still be seen on this route.the cottage also has its own private hide which is reached by steps down to the waters edge where guests can observe all kinds of wildlife or enjoy a glass of wine in the peaceful surroundings.wildlife are plentiful herons, cormorants, ducks, porpoises, otters, roe deer and buzzards can all be seen regularly and the pine martin visits the area most nights.
Walks and climbs to suit all ages and tastes are plentiful are some within walking distance and forest roads are available for mountain bikers.
There are numerous places to visit locally, the famous eilean donan castle just 3 miles drive away, pictish brochs and the isle of skye bridge which is now toll free!there are several good restuarants and hotels not too far away. Taxis and car hire are also available locally.
Boat trips are available at kyle of lochalsh ,plockton and letterfaern and small boats can be hired on loch duich.the city of inverness is approximately 1.5 hours drive with regular bus snd train service.
Inverness airport is also well connected to the south, with a number of guests making use of this and then hiring a car.
There is a private slipway available for guests who wish to launch their own boats.
The cottage is modern, easily maintained and heated throughout which is a must for your well earned holiday!
