Enjoy a cosy, quirky stay in a unique location next to the iconic Kyle Line Railway. The beautifully restored Signal Box is perfectly placed for exploring Skye and the Highlands.

The Kyle Line is one of the world's most scenic railway journeys, and you can’t get much closer to it than this! But with just 4 trains a day between Inverness and Kyle you can be assured of plenty of peace and quiet in this tucked-away apartment.

The accommodation has been cleverly laid out to provide every comfort for two people. There's a double bed and additional second bed if required, plus a well equipped kitchen, living/dining area and outside terrace overlooking the railway. In the words of our guests: “Lovely quirky place to stay in a great spot to explore Skye and the surrounding area.” “Cosy, comfortable and very quiet.” “Lovely little accommodation, perfect for a week’s stay! Clean and has everything that is needed!”

Kyle is an excellent location for exploring the surrounding area. The Isle of Skye is just over the bridge, and there are good rail, bus and road connections to the rest of the Highlands.

The Signal Box is currently bookable via Air B&B.

The Signal Box was restored and converted by the Friends of the Kyle Line, who also run the nearby Kyle Station Museum. Income from the holiday accommodation supports the Museum. Inside the Museum you can see a number of artefacts from the original Signal box which dated to 1897.
