Slatebarns Caravan Park is a peaceful family-run touring caravan park situated on the edge of Roslin Glen. Step outside the park gate and you come across our neighbour (the famous Rosslyn Chapel which featured in the Da Vinci Code). Plenty of walks nearby for dogowners and walkers alike. It is 7 miles from Edinburgh’s famous Princes Street and easily accessible from Edinburgh City Bypass. We have a choice of 30 pitches – mostly hard-standing and level, all with electric hook-up. The facilities include a newly refurbished heated WC/shower block with free hot showers, laundry facilities and a Disabled shower-room/WC. Wi-Fi is available. A couple of minutes’ walk up Chapel Loan and you will find yourself in Roslin Main Street. Here you will find the traditional village pub which serves food all day and is child/dog friendly. From here you can catch the half-hourly bus service – (which runs all day and also has a night service) into Edinburgh to sample the many tourist attractions that the city holds and then return to the peace and quiet of the country when your day/night is complete. There is golf, hillwalking, fishing and horse-riding nearby. Hillend artificial ski-slope is a couple of miles away. Why not visit the Scottish Borders for the day either by car or tour bus or pop over to South Queensferry to visit our famous road and rail bridges over the Forth.
