Smarhus Cottage offers the advantages of quality accommodation in a quiet private location yet only minutes away from excellent road and rail links for visiting Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling, Perth or further a field.
The Scandinavian theme doesn’t stop with the name, the Cottage has many features which provide a light an airy relaxed environment from the wooden flooring throughout to the doors, windows and décor which all compliment the feeling of space and brightness. Using a number of environmentally friendly features – under floor heating, energy efficient windows, off peak water heating – all contribute to ensuring your stay is relaxing and comfortable.
With all the accommodation on the one level, Smarhus has been designed to offer easy access for visitors who are less mobile, this includes the extensive private decked area complete with table and chairs to enjoy the morning sun or to sit and watch the extensive range of wildlife – deer, squirrels, and woodland birds which visit the garden throughout the year.
On arrival the owners make every effort to welcome you personally and ensure you are familiar with the instructional details you need to make use of the Cottage equipment – TV, wifi, washing machine, dishwasher etc. A complimentary welcome pack offering a “taste of Scotland” is also provided on your arrival.
