Originally Smiddy Cottage was a working Smiddy, and is now a spacious self catering accommodation for two people.
There is a delightful very spacious living room/kitchen/dining room. The living room area has comfortable seating to sit and relax in, with a flat screen television and Freesat TV. There is a fully equipped kitchen with everything you would require for your stay with us, hob/oven, fridge and dishwasher...all the mod cons to help make your time in the cottage as hassle free as possible. From this area you can enjoy the tranquil views of the countryside through the patio doors. The utility room has a freezer, washing machine and space to dry your clothes. There is also ample space to store walking boots, bicycles and golf clubs. Smiddy Cottages shower room and bedroom is accessed from the main living area by three steps. The bedroom has zip linked beds which give it real flexibility enabling it to be set up with a large kingsize bed or two singles. There is good quality bedding and fluffy towels provided in the price.
The outside area for Smiddy Cottage has a patio area in which to enjoy a relaxing glass of wine and dining al fresco. At the side of the property there is a private parking area.
Around the area there is lots to see and do whether it's the walks, fishing, history, heritage or culture. There's also a good selection of golf courses, and fishing in the area. For shopping the small country town of Pitlochry is approx. 7 miles North and has a good selection of individual shops, pubs and restaurants. Dunkeld is approx. 7 miles South where you will also find individual shops, pubs and restaurants. Perth is approx. 30 minutes drive away where a larger selection of shops, restaurants, bars, can be found. Smiddy Cottage is ideal for couples - providing space, comfort and above all a relaxing retreat. Sleeps up to 2 people.
