Smithy Cottage is a traditional cottage idyllically situated by the water in the tiny village of Bellanoch, which is at the western end of the Crinan Canal.

This traditional, detached, white washed cottage has a most beautiful and (literally) picture post card situation in the tiny village of Bellanoch at the western end of the Crinan Canal near Lochgilphead (3m, shops restaurants, leisure centre) and over looking the water.
Bought by the owner as her 'dream home', every care has been lavished on its refurbishment with many delightful features, such as the wood burning stove in the sitting room, much imaginative use of wood throughout, lovely furnishings and a very luxurious shower room. It stands in its own enclosed gardens with the woods of the Knapdale Forest to the rear, ideal for pleasant walks.
This is a sailor's paradise, and there is a boat launch nearby if you wish to bring your own craft. There are boat trips from nearby Crinan (hotel, café) to the Corryvreckan whirlpool, while a walk or cycle along the canal is a fascinating activity for young and old.
