The Cottage, set within the ancient Royal Burgh of Inverurie, in rural Aberdeenshire, has 2 double bedrooms and a small additional room, available with guest bed. It will cater for 4-5 adults plus baby. Baby accessories are available upon request.
Renovated in 2005, the cottage offers a charming mix of traditional home, with all modern conveniences. In addition to the living room, modern bathroom and dining kitchen (including a fridge freezer, dishwasher and microwave), the Cottage also has a study area and utility room complete with washing machine and tumble drier. All towels, linen and domestic sundries are included in the price.
St Andrews Cottage is situated within a quiet, yet central location, combining all the benefits of peaceful living, with easy access to Inverurie's bustling town centre and main line rail link (10 minutes walk). The Cottage has a secure garden, and is also surrounded by Glebe land and Inverurie's primary park. The River Don, minutes walk, offers a pleasant and relaxing surrounding.
Inverurie is a well-provisioned town with a variety of shops, restaurants, museum, historical sites and 24 hour supermarket. There is also a farmers market 2 weekends a month. The city of Aberdeen is just 20 minutes away, offering access to all major retail outlets together with a notable beach and facilities.
The local landscape is varied, encompassing various woodland, rolling hills and open moorland. Local Inverurie heritage sites include, among others, a 12th century Motte, and prehistoric sites such as the Easter Aquorthies Recumbent stone circle and Pictish Brandsbutt Stone.
The local coastline offers equally diverse environments, with wide sandy beaches, tall dune formations and rocky cliffs. Inverurie also provides a perfect base for visiting the magnificent scenery of Upper Donside, Strathdon, Royal Deeside and Cairngorms.
