Steeped in local history, Crail is a wonderful fishing village in the East Neuk of Fife. Crail lies just 10 miles from St Andrews, so you can take in a game of golf on one of the world’s oldest golf courses or watch an internationally renowned tournament just a stone’s (or golf ball’s) throw away whilst still enjoying the peace and quiet of this lovely harbour village. St Anne’s cottage itself is situated in the heart of Crail, tucked behind the historic Toll Booth, just a few doors down from the museum. The local shops and traditional Scottish pubs are an easy walk from the cottage, including the Lobster Hut where you can enjoy fresh seafood whilst sitting and enjoying the view from the harbour wall (check the opening times as they vary seasonally). This is a fantastic archetypal Scottish cottage, renovated to a high standard throughout, with attached bunk house to give more living space, or indeed a safe area to let the kid’s entertain themselves. The cottage sleeps up to 6 adults and 2 children. In the main house there is a good sized living room with a wood/coal burning open fire, a master bedroom which can either be set out as a twin or super king, a further twin/double with ensuite and a twin bedroom. The bunkhouse contains a bunk bed so is ideally suited for children. During your stay not only are you surrounded by wonderful beaches and easy access to the Fife Coastal Path but you have full use of the large south facing garden.
