Beautifully renovated in 2015 with fabulous attention to detail throughout, St Minver is a delightful cottage for two just outside the centre of Brodick which benefits from glorious views both out to sea and up towards the hills.
Set back from the road within beautiful mature gardens, St Minver is just a short walk both to the beach and access to the mountains. The cottage offers a very high standard of accommodation and is in the ideal location for hill walkers, golfers and cyclists alike. It also provides an extremely idyllic setting for those seeking a romantic break.
When it comes to dining, the kitchen caters for the visitor's every need and has its own private outside dining area with views up towards the glen. From here, visitors to St Minver can look forward to the prospect of enjoying some spectacular sunsets over the hills. However, after a long day on the mountains, on the golf course or even, perhaps, relaxing on the beach, one may instead choose to sample some of the many excellent local restaurants in Brodick, all of which can be reached along the shorefront on foot.
The cottage itself offers easy access to many of the attractions that the Isle of Arran has to offer. These include its historical sites, fabulous beaches, its low and high level walks, as well as the Isle of Arran distillery in the north. Brodick Castle and Gardens is also a very pleasant ten minute walk along the coast. For the golf enthusiast, there are seven welcoming golf clubs with courses set in beautiful coastal locations. In addition, the outdoor activity centre in the village of Lamlash offers pursuits such as sea kayaking and canoeing and regular boat trips are also available from the marina. Wildlife enthusiasts will not be disappointed either, with seals, otters and deer regularly sighted around Arran.
For those looking for a more relaxing holiday and some pampering, there is a new spa just a very short walk from St Minver, complete with swimming pool, sauna and steam room. In addition, Brodick offers a wide range of gift shops, galleries, restaurants and specialist food shops, as well as numerous tearooms, restaurants and coffee shops. There is also a supermarket within easy walking distance of the cottage.
Less than ten minutes walk from the ferry and on the regular bus route that runs around the island, St Minver is easily accessible for those who are travelling without a car.
