Rowan Cottage is a lovely detached holiday, sitting on a hillside overlooking Loch Long and the Firth of Clyde, near Dunoon, Argyll. It’s one of four similar cottages situated within a small holiday development called Stronchullin.
With lots of natural light and lovely views, it sleeps six people in three bedrooms. On the ground floor there’s a spacious open-plan sitting room and dining area with oak flooring and a wood burning stove. From the lounge there’s a patio door leading out to large decking and garden with magnificent views – the perfect spot for an alfresco drink.
The kitchen has everything you could need, including a breakfast bar. There’s also a shower room and separate toilet and a double bedroom downstairs. Upstairs there’s a bedroom with a double and single bed and a single bedroom.
Rowan Cottage is an ideal base from which to explore the whole of Argyll, with Oban, Bute, Inveraray and Portavadie Marina all within day-trip distance. There’s a lively arts scene around this area, as well as endless opportunities for outdoor fun – from kayaking in the sheltered waters to walking in the woods.
