Accommodation: 1 bedroom, 1 twin (sleeps 2)
In the heart of the Fassfern Estate, you will find a little gem – Suileag - a self-catering cottage just for two. And just a stones throw from the cottage is a quaint stone bridge that crosses the River Suileag that goes on to meander through the estate. This is the same stone bridge that Bonnie Prince Charlie would have crossed on his way to Fassfern House when he stayed there during the Jacobite uprising.
Nowadays all is peaceful and tranquil and just the perfect place for two to spend their holiday. Come inside the cottage and you will find a bright and comfortable home with everything you will need to ensure your stay is complete.
Fassfern Estate is renowned for its wonderful woodland with many fantastic walks right from the doorstep. Pack a picnic and head off along tree-lined paths or up the surrounding hills from where you will see the fantastic views over Loch Eil and to the mighty Ben Nevis. Deer are often seen grazing near to the house and this naturally beautiful area is also home to a large variety of wonderful birds, butterflies and wildlife, making Suileag Cottage a wonderful base to explore all that Inverness-shire has to offer.
