Below the turf roof, just above the water’s edge and blending into the surrounding landscape this rock house lies beside the fresh and sea loch otter runs; quiet and secluded.

Sun streams into the open-plan living and dining area through large south-facing windows giving stunning views across the water and moors to Eaval and Bureaval. At the same time, sample and cook the best of island seafood, venison and other local produce in the well equipped kitchen. Enjoy lazy breakfasts or romantic dinners indoors, or out on the balcony. Relax and chill out, keeping snug with the wood-burning stove.
Lie in bed looking out over the water; watch the starlit night sky and soak up the peace.

There is a car parking area on the roadside above the cottage; stone steps lead down to the ‘cave’ entrance to the living and utilty rooms.

For active souls, there are detailed walking and cycling routes, kayaking, windsurfing, diving and horse-riding opportunities. Taigh Dobhrain includes facilities to wash and dry clothes and where equipment can be stored.

Go with the flow of the weather, let it sweep you indoors to read or write, chat or just watch, let it irresistibly tempt you out when the sun shines. Listen to the birds and the sounds of a timeless tranquil way of life; recharge and revitalise.
